“The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” is Starting to Build a Spark

I have never been this excited for any film, ever. Well, I have been excited for a couple of adaptations before, but probably not as stoked as I am for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. (I’m just glad to be into at least one movie/film franchise right for my generation.) And the producers (or whoever is responsible for the hyping) are making sure that the months leading up to the release of the movie will be delicious.

They started releasing several promotional materials for the second movie installment of the Suzanne Collins best seller trilogy. First, they showed two posters for the “Victory Tour” of Katniss and Peeta.

Then they slowly (and strategically) released the “Capitol Portraits” of the characters who will play big roles on Catching Fire.

I made a promise to myself regarding the second Hunger Games movie, and I will see if I can live up to it. Anyways, I am really excited for this part of the trilogy. Having read the books, Catching Fire might be the most character-driven of the three books but that’s not saying that the plot isn’t good.

So far, it seems like they have chosen actors suited for the roles. Johanna Mason is really looking good in her portrait. And, of course, all the action and shit going on in the new arena would be really fun to see translated to film. Also, it’s the Quarter Quell, so I am assuming that it’ll be bigger than the previous Games. And, spoiler alert, the ending should be as exciting as it was written on the book.

P.S. I’m excited to see Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss. She sold Tiffany so well, so I’m looking forward to her doing Katniss again. I just hope she’s allowed to curse because she’s really awesome when she does that.
